A fieldtrip to Alabama Power

I am lucky enough to have a friend that works in the archive at Alabama Power. Lyn and I were treated to a personalized tour of the history of Alabama Power. Pretty cool!!

A new playground in the neighborhood...

For two days in a row now I have taken the kids to a local playground. It is so toddler friendly. Since Ben is weaning I need to keep him busy and distracted so this worked out great. They were worn out by the time we left......

Something to be proud of....

Lyn collected all of her recent volleyball stuff to take a picture for her Dad. I can't believe she has been playing for 4 years now. I am so proud of her. She is so mature beyond her years but she still acts like a regular 13 year old at other times. That girl will go far!

Look what I was offered today.....

I was treated to some wonderful hospitality today. Just look what I ate. Yum yum! The olives were the best I have ever had. Next to the olives are two pickled baby eggplants. And the pickle was just wonderful too. Thank you so much to the mom who treated me to these tasty morsels after I was finished working with her son!!!! 

Halloween

I made it out with3 kids last night. We started at trunk-or-treat at the church down the road and then hit some neighbourhood houses. Lyn went with her friends and Ben stayed home with Daddy. I am sure Danny and Connor had fun with their Dad. Hopefully next year I will feel better and have more spirit.
