Eli's new school

 First Day!!!

My 4 year old baby started full time big boy school!!!! He has attended daycare as an infant and part-time care before but now he is a full-time student. He walked right in but got shy when mom tried to steal a kiss. I know better as a teacher to interrupt a good morning flow but he is my 10th and my last chance to smother....

Evan healing....

Evan's appointment with the eye surgen went really well this week. He still has healing for his retina to continue but they said they have never seen such a bad infection heal so well without lazer surgery. One "big rarely talks to patients" surgen thought he had already had lazer surgery. My mother is a blessing as she takes him to most of his appointments. I loose my patience with the doctors. That is a whole story I have gone into before. And with me working I don't have to take off work. I contribute his healing to the Lord, the Gteat Physician. He created youth to be resilient and with their higher turn over of new cells, Evan's hralthy diet, and honestly his new glasses helping not to strain his eyes he may make a 100% recovery in time. At least no more appointments till summer.

Eli helping me plant

Eli and I got out of the house right before I went to work yesterday. We went to get some top soil and landscape bark for the yard. A lavender plant that had been trimmed into a "tree" needed to be in the ground as soon as possible. I got one more flower planted with Eli's help before I headed to work. He is so bright. He is funny and says the most unusual combinations of words and sentences. My baby, now 4 years old.

Thursday and a pond

Evan had a project to collect some pond water. I think every kid gets to do that at some point. I actually drove him to a catch water pond before a Bible study. I slipped in the mud and nearly lost my phone in the water. But we got duck week and some algae.

Eliot's Day

 My sweet young lady...

Baby birds

A bird built a nest in my watering can. It got pretty inventive in its materials that it used. I peeked in every once in a whike hoping for eggs but never saw any. The kids said Dad saw eggs yesterday but they were deep inside. I tried to look again and got surprised by the morher bird flying out. I took some flash pictures because it was dark inside to try again to see the eggs. No eggs, but we have baby birds now! Hopefully everyone can keep away till they mature.

HYGIEIA, A Woman's Herbal

Someone in a Christian Midwifery group was was asking about an herbal book that wasn't too "heavy". I passed by this one on my book shelf. Very good instructions and a good place to start. It is not Christian based but not anti-Christian either. It does draw on a lot of Native American  traditional herbs available in North America as well as traditional European and some Asian herbs. It does have an older "hippy" type feel to it and the writing style, drawings, photos, and side notes may seem distracting to some I enjoy it after looking at textbooks on Midwifery.

Resurrection Sunday

I missed posting on the day by a few minutes so this looks like a Monday post. We had a wonderful service in rhe morn8ng snd s candy hunt. After a great nap Evan and I ran to the store to get things for Mr. Rooks. He was one of the best teachets and man of God that I have ever met. He is now on deputation to be a missionary in Africa. He also just got engaged last week. We got him some on the road treats to enjoy as he visits churches gaining support. We will miss him greatly....

Evan got a last minute picture of the man that helped draw him out of his shell some.

The others on the run and during service....

If wondering, I wear perscription sunglasses inside because some artificial lighting hurts my eyes...
