Love my daughter, just saying

Lyn, you are a treasure. I am sorry life is being so challenging right now. I want to say it gets better. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't.  In the end though we grow and learn....

I'll take a bite

Elaina is helping herself to my hamburger patty. Such a great dinner I had tonight. My husband can really cook. Grass fed beef, jasmine rice, stir fry vegetables, and roasted Brussels sprouts.... yum.

Candles

These just make me happy....

Finally, setting up our Spring altar.....

Needs some more work but it is a start. Eliot and Evan collected some fresh flowers and we brought out our bunnies. I rotated in my Spring Goddess and Dad lit a green candle for growth. It is a start....

God's Eye

The big kids made God's Eyes in children's chapel today at church...

4 months old today

Etta Sophia is a petit little girl. She weighs 10 pounds 10 ounces today. She isn't quite following the American standard for weight gain since birth. By most standards she should have doubled her birth weight by now. I am not worried yet. She is small but proportional...

My everyday oil case

My mother gave Eliot and Evan these lunch boxes for Christmas.  I appropriated one for my "first aid kit". I keep the oils I use for headaches and tension as well as the weight loss trio. I have capsules also. I have a carrier oil is in the blue bottle. I am ready to go. I have room for a few smaller oils. I should at least add lavender.

Spring is here.....

This has been a very busy week. Work, kids, more work, and sick husband.  He hardly ever feels poorly so this was a big deal. I am so thankful that my mom was able to take over childcare while I was at work till I got home. That is one way to start off Spring and 10 years with my husband.

Thankful for new beginnings with family, work, and inner peace. That last one is hard to come by.

Lyn's assignment yesterday

Homeschooling isn't for every family or every child but I am proud of my daughter Lyn. Her work yesterday was to create something, a piece of artwork, an essay, short story, anything..... She wrote a back and forth story with her "boyfriend" ( but she won't let me read it). She also painted two paintings. This one is finished the other not quite done.

What do UUs believe

A snapshot....

Deeds not Creeds

One thing that holds so much meaning for me within the Unitarian Universalist community (see how I did not say faith, congregation, or denomination) is that what you DO is what matters.

Squash casserole... It has been a while

It has been a while since I made squash casserole. It looked so good I had to share.  Fresh squash, collard greens, onions, cheese, fresh rosemary from my yard, a slice of bacon on top, olive oil, salt, pepper, and some masala spice mix. It turned out great!!

Happy 25th Birthday Lyn

My oldest daughter is 25 today. She has accomplished so much in her life. I am so proud of her. She was such a delightful surprise when I wa...
