WIC adventure

5 carseats...

Well, there comes a time when you just have to replace car seats. They become outdated or unsafe. They don't meet regulation or they are plan just yucky.... It was a bit nostalgic to toss the old ones. There are some organizations that assist low income families and provide them with car seats but I have tried to get appointments and when I have I was treated so "poorly", pun intended, for being poor with so many children that I felt better just spending money I don't really have to get cheap but safe seats. Let's see how the kids like them.

I has been a very challenging day, week, month, and even year. The few herbs I have growing this year aren't in full growth but I had to pick a few.

We had a swim party planned but Elaina was bit of a bugger and disobeyed so it was cancelled. I wish she really understood the results of consequences. One day....

Here comes the SUN!!! We had a very busy day at church. We had some visitors and regularly attending children. We learned that the sun is what helps everything grow. Sweet simple lesson...

Lyn's Bridging Ceremony

 

One tradition in the UU church is to have young adults leaving childhood into adulthood to bridge into that new chapter of their lives. Lyn and Lily walked into their new lives. They both graduated high school and are ready to take on the world.

Etta's EI session

 

Etta is doing well. She is still delayed and as always I forget that until I see her around other 2 and half year olds. She did have fun playing with her Special Instructor...

Boy doll!!!

 

It is really hard to find baby dolls that aren't super girly. I was so happy to find this fellow at a local thrift store. He looks a bit like good Chucky but I like him. Etta can't get enough of him. My plans are to take him to the church nursery but Etta keeps bringing him back home.

A day with the little kids...

 

We visited a thrift store today that had concrete yard figurines outside. These fascinated the children. In the middle picture you can see one of the angel figurines toppled over. Elaina was very concerned about her. We set her back up but Elaina keeps asking about her.
