New school

Etta and Elaina needed to attend a new school so I could work full time again. They are getting used to it their first week. Best part is that Etta can receive her therapy and instruction for her IEP there.

Cool shirt...

I may have outgrown these types of printed t-shirts but I could not resist this one. When do you ever find an Early Intervention Specialist shirt? NEVER!!!! I had to have it. It can't shrink. I am only going to get bigger :)

30ish weeks

I think I caught myself talking but I haven't taken many pictures during this pregnancy so I thought I would catch up a bit. I honestly don't feel very pregnant. Yes, I am bigger and feel little one move but attachment isn't there yet. Which is understandable. Working more and not having a partner (by choice) can just make child rearing a little more time consuming. I don't mind I just need more time :).....

Girl time....

Eliot decided to give the little girls an art lesson...

Growing pains...

This was made for Lyn when she was younger and we were celebrating her coming of age and first menstruation. She is de-cluttering and I guess she thought it was time to pass ot on. Maybe it can go to Eliot or her own daughter, Jaynie.

Outside fun...

Why is it in the 70s in Winter!!!?

Etta is even more unique

Etta had her first dentist appointment today. She and Ben share the same caviety prone teeth. She has 4 cavities. 2 can probably be let go and 2 in some premolars may need some natural treatment. What is really unique is that she is missing two of her bottom baby teeth. Yep, totally missing. Not sure yet if she is missing any adult teeth yet. This is another reason I want her genetics looked at more closely. The neurologist called today but they need a new referral in order to get any brain imaging for her prematal brain cysts. My little elf child....

Elaina's tooth

Elaina had her dead tooth pulled today. She took a fall onto concrete years ago and after a few years the tooth gradually just died. Before it became infected we had it pulled. She sort of whistles now....

Happy Birthday Ben

7 years!!!! This talkative boy with flaxen hair steals everyone's heart.
He never
stops talking, loves his stuffed animals, and can't seem to understand that he can't wear the same shirt to school all week. His birth was very easy and honestly he has been an easy child even though we aren't really supposed to say that. He is struggling in school a bit and we are working on getting him an IEP but he is such a special child. He is always remembered by all who meet him.

Etta's hearing test

Etta did well today but she has to go back. Their equipment wasn't working properly and she had to try the booth test but her developmental level just wasn't up to par for that. She just kept smiling. She had a lot of patience in the waiting room playing with her "Chucky" doll....

Mistletoe

I was finally able to find a sourse of mistletoe that was easy to harvest on public land. It is always so high I got lucky. I try to collect at least one large branch each Winter.

Elias's bed

Evan and Eliot helped me set up Elias's bed that was generously donated to us. Jaynie is still using our other portacrib and Etta's full size crib is set up in the girl's room even though she doesn't use it much.

Of course Etta eanted to claim this bed too. Eliot added some LED lights just for show that will come down if someone sleeps there but it is pretty and Etta and Elaina had a go playing in the bed.

Thank you Evan and Eliot.

I made it out....

I was able to make it outside for a few minutes. Long enough to gaze and light one candle. My Winter Mother joined me. The moon was bright and beautiful. I just couldn't get a good picture but I couldn't miss the first full moon of the year.

Full Moon

I wanted to spend some time with the moon tonight. Maybe when all the kids are asleep I can step out for a minute at least. Elaina almost locked my keys in the car this afternoon. I really thought she did but one door was unlocked. She did it on purpose that is what is so frustrating. Yesterday at child care she screamed and misbehaved for over 2 hours just because she did not want to clean up. I was her teacher so I know the whole story. Today she was better but she lost out on a visit with Granny because of her behavior. Etta had therapy and Evan tagged along but Elaina was stuck with me. I taught in the Toddler Class today so she had a different teacher and she acted OK till we got home. This child has pushed my buttons more than even Danny during his worst Autistic fit as a toddler or Annika during night long seizures. I need to step outside and recharge....

Snow one day finding a lizard while barefoot the next

Well, there were a few days in between....

Alabama weather is so strange. Can Winter please just be here already....

26th Birthday Lyn!

Lyn and I aren't talking face to face right now. It is very complicated. It is deep rooted in the past. I want desperately to change wh...
