Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend should not be about beach trips and sales at every shop. I saw a few random posts on Facebook and my Pastor mentioned it on Sunday and that was about it. I need to work harder on teaching the worth of the day to my children. I worked two 12 hour night shifts this weekend then got sick. I struggle with my migraines, arthritis, and depression but I rarely get sick sick. No allergies here. I don't get many colds or flu. I didn't realize how much a virus could settle in my joints. I actually went to the doctor today. Of course nothing they could do. He offered to give me a steroid shot but I declined. No need to cover up symptoms and then suffer reactions that could be worse. Besides, with no insurance why have the added cost? I was told to just actually take my pain medication which I avoid. That helped...

After a long day...

Sweet hugs from the kids when I came home from work this morning. I have worked long hours this week and missed seeing them awake. I wasn't able to go to their award ceremony at school but Dad and my mom said everyone did well. Lyn's pear tree is producing. We should have a nice harvest of pears this year. We just ate the tomatoes off the vine this morning. Then I got help filling the bird feeder.

Today was long

and it isn't over yet... I worked an 8 and a half hour shift at one job then I went to a 12 hour shift at another. That is where I am still at till the morning. At least I can do paperwork for a different job while I am there....

My latest Etsy sale

This little miniature mother with child figure was requested from a client. The original sellers of the figure are going out of business. It was used as a prop in my photos but they asked for it and since I have several I wrapped it up and sent it to its new owner. 

Ready for Wednesday night service. I layered my covering. A lacy one pinned down with pins with an over band.

You know you are tired when...

You know you are tired when you put hand cream on your toothbrush. Thank goodness I realized it before I put my toothbrush in my mouth...
