Text to text connection..



Annika learned today that a lot of hymns have basis in the Bible. I dug up an old hymnal and showed her how to match them up. She was so happy to figure this out. Sometimes the light in her eyes when she figures something out is so bright it helps to hold the shadows of her troubles and diagnosis at bay. This process was all child driven when she shared a poem she wrote with me and I showed her how a lot of verses in the bible sound like poems.
